PICNOOK 2000!

There will be a few changes, for the better we believe for PicNook 2000.
The PicNook is somewhat a victim of its own success being the largest
Chinook event of the year. This year the Picnook is on Saturday June 24th
starting at Noon. (We didnt finish cleaning up until Monday last year!)

This years PicNook will not be held on Victors Chinooks property. It will
be at the Lake Chalet Campground, the main stay on Route 8, Bridgewater,
NY. This will allow the organizers to have more time enjoying the Picnook
and allow many more activities for the children.

Your hosts, CWW, Mountain Laurel Chinooks and Victors Chinooks have
arranged for the use of the Lake Chalet campground. This will allow
children and others the use of the Lake, paddleboats, pavilions, fishing
etc during the day and a place to hold the Annual CWW meeting. Food will
be carry in by individuals this year, bring your own picnic lunch and plan
to have a fun day.

Victors Chinooks property will be open and available for weekend boarding,
hiking and camping. (About 5 minutes from Lake Chalet) If you need space
for your Chinooks, let me know as we fill every year.

Nearby are Cooperstown, 10,000 acres of forest, Utica Zoo,Erie Canal. This
is tourist "country"

Lake Chalet has four cabins, a small hotel and 50 campsites. Book Early.
The cabins go quickly and the motel fills.

Lake Chalet is off of Interstate 90, Exit 31, Utica. Take Route 8 South, Lake Chalet is about 15 miles South on your right. The Lake Chalet phone for reservations is (315) 822-6074.

The red Roof Inn, Utica also takes pets and this is the alternate stay. The phone number for them is (315) 724-7128.
